Digital Transformation and Interaction
Hosted by the Faculty of Communication at Hasan Kalyoncu University, the 2nd International Media and Cultural Studies Conference (INMECS25) will be held on November 5–6, 2025, under the theme “Digital Transformation and Interaction.”
Today’s rapidly evolving digital environment is profoundly reshaping communication practices, media tools, and modes of social interaction. Digital transformation impacts not only technological advancements but also a wide range of areas—from communication practices to narrative structures, from visual culture to audience engagement. Emerging media environments are generating new dynamics in communication processes by transforming modes of expression, aesthetic approaches, and user experiences in disciplines such as digital cinema and visual communication design.
This conference aims to address, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the creative forms of expression emerging in the digital age, innovations in media production, and the transformation of interaction between individuals and institutions.
The symposium, which will host nationally and internationally renowned keynote speakers, provides a valuable platform for academics, students, and media professionals to present and discuss current research. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, both in person and via Zoom/Webinar.
Submitted abstracts will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review process by the members of the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts. Full papers (optional) will be included in the Conference Proceedings Book, which will be published electronically. (Submission of a full paper is not mandatory.) For submission guidelines and detailed information, please refer to the Registration and Participation page.
You are kindly invited to participate in the conference by submitting your paper proposals in Turkish or English within the scope of the themes and related topics outlined below.
